Not too long until the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets land in the U.S., folks! The Korean tech giant just confirmed that all three of them are to launch stateside in just a couple of weeks. Starting July 7, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and the Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch will be available for purchase online or via many of the nation's largest retailers. And if patience is something you don't have lots of, you'll be able to place a pre-order tomorrow – June 25. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is the largest tablet among the bunch, sporting a 1280 by 800 pixel display and a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel processor. It also features a 1.3MP front-facing camera and a 3MP main shooter. All of that, including the 6800mAh battery, 16 gigabytes of storage, and the GPS connectivity is packed inside an 8-millimeter thick body weighing just 510 grams.
Next in line we have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, with its 1280 by 800 pixel display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The tablet also features a 5MP auto-focus main camera, a front-facing cam, GPS, and a 4450mAh battery. It is one of the thinnest and lightest tablets of this size, with a thickness of just 7.4mm and weight of 314 grams. And the third member in the lineup is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch, with its 1024 by 600 pixel screen and 1.2GHz dual-core processor. A couple of cameras are present as well, including a 3MP main one and a 1.3MP front-facing cam for video chats. The device comes with 8GB of storage, GPS connectivity, and a 4000mAh battery.
All three Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets will be available in two colors – White and Gold Brown – and will be bundled with a pack of goodies, including a $10 Google Play voucher, a year of free Boingo hotspot service, three months of Hulu Plus service, and free 50GB of Dropbox storage for 2 years.
Prices for the Wi-Fi-only models are set at $399, $299 and $199 for the 10.1-inch, 8-inch and the 7-inch Galaxy Tab 3, with no word as to when or whether the 3G/4G variants will be launched. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 tablets will be offered Best Buy/Best Buy Mobile, Amazon, Wal-Mart, h.h. Gregg, Office Depot, Toys ‘R’ Us, P.C. Richard & Son, Fry’s, Newegg, Sears and on Samsung's online store.
